James Dring Power Plant Limited was established in 1964 producing diesel powered equipment, generating sets and associated electrical switchgear.
Since 1979 under the influence of the Managing Director, James Martindale, the company has developed a distinct reputation for itself within the power industry for high quality bespoke power generation equipment. This family run business is based in the heart of the East Midlands within a purpose built factory to allow for the design, manufacturing and testing of the equipment.
The product range has increased to encompass diesel, petrol, gas and marine powered generators, motor generators, frequency convertors, power packs, welding sets and load banks: all available with associated products such as acoustic enclosures and spares. The 'in-house' panel shop produces control and distribution panels to any complex specification. In addition, operator training facilites, maintenance and breakdown cover are all carried out by our own engineers.
James Dring manufactured generating sets can be found powering agriculture, airports, banks, hospitals and industry all around the world.
Products are specially designed per customer to take account of their needs, application and location, as well as British and International Standards.
